Position the Clamp on the Seam
Place the solar clamp directly over the raised standing seam of the metal roof (e.g., Klip-Lok® 406 or 700).
Ensure correct alignment with your solar rail layout.
Secure the Clamp with Bolts
Use the included stainless steel hex bolts to tighten the clamp around the seam.
Most clamps require no drilling or roof penetration, protecting the roof’s waterproof integrity.
Attach the Mounting Rail or Panel
Fasten the solar rail to the clamp using a bottom-mount or top-mount bolt system (depending on design).
Some clamps allow direct module mounting without a rail.
Ensure Proper Torque
Tighten all bolts to the recommended torque (check the product’s datasheet).
Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the clamp or roof seam.
Optional: Install as Safety Anchor
Some standing seam clamps can double as fall protection anchor points—install per safety regulations.
Repeat & Complete Array
Repeat across the roof layout to complete the solar array installation.
Once rails or modules are fixed, proceed with wiring and grounding as per electrical codes.
